The Sequoia hosts small group retreats in the lower part of our property at The Sequoia, and we are particularly interested in hosting artists and social justice groups. Positively, The Sequoia was voted "runner-up" in 2023 for the "Best Retreat Center" of San Lorenzo Valley by the Press Banner.

The Sequoia has 19 beds in 10 private rooms, which sleeps up to 23 in the following spaces:

​

• Art Kitchen: meeting space, kitchen, shared bathroom & shower, and artist annex (king-size bed);

• Garden Cottage: cabin, with king bed & shared bathroom & shower;

• Alba Vista: 2 bed, 2 bath cabin with loft; kitchen, sleeps up to 6 (king bed, bunk-bed that has a full with a single above & single [trundle] below, and a two singles in the loft;

• ZaZen: cabin, with queen bed, bathroom & shower.

• Casa de Sequoia: a 4 bed, 2 bath house, meeting space, kitchen, sleeps up to 12 (1 king, 1 queen, 3 singles, 2 bunk beds [4 singles], & 2 blow up mattresses).

The Sequoia host retreats on both weekdays and weekends from mid-November through the end of March. However, from April to mid-November, The Sequoia host retreats only on Sunday afternoons to Thursday.

 

All retreats are self-cooking. Check-in is at 4 pm and departure is at 2 pm. Group retreats have access to Peace Park, Redwood Grove and Alba Gardens. Retreats do not have access to the upper property of The Sequoia, which consists of Las Alas Lodge and Pixie's Garden.
